Education

Nishmati, meaning “my soul”, is the name of our Education offering at Neshama.

It currently hosts two branches: our vibrant and meaningful Bnei Mitzvah Program and thanks to its success, we are now expanding it to include adult learning.

Our Bnei Mitzvah Program aims to provide students with a profound understanding of Jewish values, beliefs, and traditions, while also encouraging them to put these teachings into practice in their everyday lives. We believe that learning about Judaism should spark both intellectual and practical engagement, ensuring students are not only informed but also inspired to live by these principles. The program was developed by Rabbi Shneur and Lisa Reti-Waks merging traditional Jewish learning with practical, real-life applications. The program offers a meaningful educational experience that connects with both heart and mind. The program seamlessly integrates theoretical study with hands-on experiences. The full program curriculum is completed over two terms. Each term is crafted as an 8-week unit, allowing students the flexibility to join at the start of any term, making the program accessible and adaptable to different schedules.

Our Adult Education series branch is for our Adult Learners and philosophers. Our inaugural program, just launched, is a six-week series exploring the core fundamentals of Judaism and how they relate to our lives today.

The course is structured in three parts, each delivered in two-week blocks, thoughtfully timed across the upcoming High Holiday season. We promise a thought-provoking, soulful experience to help you prepare spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally for the Yamim Noraim.

Whether you’re new to Jewish learning, looking to reconnect or just want to immerse yourself a little more, this is a perfect opportunity to deepen your knowledge and reflection in a welcoming, engaging space.
